Airgas, Azco Inc., Miller Electric Mfg, and Miron Construction Co., Inc. will hold a day-long informational event, presented by industry experts, to introduce school counselors and associated academic personnel within the New North region to the opportunities and possibilities that exist in a career in welding.

The event will be held at the Bridgewood Conference Center, 1000 Cameron Way, Neenah, Thursday, Oct. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.,

This event will give school counselors, principals, superintendents and technical education instructors in Northeast Wisconsin the opportunity to learn about the field of welding and associated career opportunities. The event will provide attendees with the information and tools necessary to convey the benefits of a career in welding to the students they interact with on a daily basis.

Attendees will learn about the benefits of a career in welding, career stepping stones associated with the field, and opportunities to create welding partnerships with local organizations. Hands-on activities also will take place.
