Peninsula Players Theatre in Fish Creek, the country’s oldest professional resident summer theater, has released its 2009 schedule.

Performances until Sept. 5 are held Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances are held Sunday, July 5 and 26, Aug. 16 and Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. Between Sept. 9 and Oct. 17, performances are held Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m., with the final performance of the season Sunday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.

The schedule:

Through July 5: “The Lady with All the Answers,” about the life of advice columnist Ann Landers.

July 8–26: “A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine,” a Marx Brothers-style double-feature.

July 29–Aug. 16: “Is He Dead?”, about a young painter who fakes his death to pay off his girlfriend’s debts, then passes himself off as his own sister.

Aug. 19–Sept. 6: “Wait Until Dark,” about a recently blinded woman who possesses a prize highly sought by a sinister yet charming man who smooth-talks his way into her house.

Sept. 9–Oct. 18: “Around the World in 80 Days,” with Phileas Fogg and an 1872 around-the-world race.
