Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and the Wisconsin Safety Council will hold a Worker’s Compensation Law and the Family and Medical Leave Act Symposium.

The symposiums will be held at the Stoney Creek Inn in Mosinee Wednesday, July 22 and at the Radisson Paper Valley Inn in Appleton Tuesday, Aug. 25 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including lunch.

The symposium provides human resource providers, employers, insurers and health care providers with legal and compliance assistance for state worker compensation and the federal Family and Medical Leave Act laws and regulations. Subject includes coverage under both laws, an analysis of employee benefit eligibility and claim administration, fraud detection and prevention, and the relationship of worker compensation to other employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, state and federal family and medical leave laws, and other state and federal laws.

Speakers are Charles B. “Chuck” Palmer, managing partner of Michael Best & Friedrich’s Waukesha office, and Amy D. Hartwig and Charles P. Steven, partners in Michael Best & Friedrich’s Milwaukee office.

The course includes 0.7 Continuing Education Units from the Wisconsin Safety Council.
