The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are preparing to break their season record in attendance, and have plans for the exact moment the record is broken. Through Aug. 18, the Timber Rattlers have drawn 219,471 fans to Time Warner Cable Field this season. The previous record attendance was in 1996, when 233,797 fans entered the gates of Fox Cities Stadium. When the record-breaking fan enters the stadium during one of the next few Rattlers games, the fan will be treated with Timber Rattlers gifts, including a $200 gift card good for tickets, concessions or merchandise, a suite night in 2010, Rattlers jersey, and a team autographed bat. The Timber Rattlers have other promotional plans for their final home games of the season: Thursday, Aug. 20, 7:05 p.m. vs. Cedar Rapids: WIXX Thirsty Thursday features $1 sodas and Miller beer products. A J.J. Putz collectable magnet giveaway will go to the first 500 fans sponsored by Lamers. Time Warner Cable Sports32 will broadcast the game live. Friday, Aug. 21, 7:05 p.m. vs. Cedar Rapids: North Shore Bank Family Night with momslikeme.com features free food for kids 12 and younger, along with a chance to run the bases after the game courtesy of ThedaCare. Police, firefighters, and EMTs will receive discounted tickets when showing identification at the ticket window at time of ticket purchase. Post-game fireworks will be presented by 95.9 KISS FM. The appearance of Canadian softball player Danielle Lawrie has been canceled because Brett Lawrie, the Milwaukee Brewers’ number one draft pick, has been promoted to Class AA Huntsville. Saturday, Aug. 22, 6:35 p.m. vs. Cedar Rapids: The Timber Rattlers’ 15th Anniversary Celebration will feature a Goodwill clothing drive and postgame fireworks presented by Fox 11. Sunday, Aug. 23, 1:05 p.m. vs. Cedar Rapids: Fans can play catch on-field before the game with player autographs after the game. Time Warner Cable subscribers can get a buy-one-get-one-free reserved bleacher seat ticket by showing their bill at the ticket window at time of ticket purchase (limit two free per bill). Brewers-themed jerseys will be worn by the Rattlers with a silent auction during the game. The Milwaukee Wave will hold a soccer clinic before the game. Sept. 2–4: $1 hot dogs, soda, and Miller Beer products will be available. Each game will feature a Fast Signs magnet schedule giveaway to the first 1,000 fans each day. Fans can receive a 2010 reserved ticket voucher by wearing Timber Rattlers apparel. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 6:35 p.m. vs. Cedar Rapids: The first 1,000 fans will receive a Josh Prince player poster giveaway courtesy of Express Convenience Centers. On American TV Win-It Wednesday, fans age 16 and older receive a scratch-off to win prizes. Thursday, Sept. 3, 6:35 p.m. vs. Cedar Rapids: The first 1,000 fans will receive a Brett Lawrie bobblehead, sponsored by Integrity Insurance. Friday, Sept. 4, 6:35 p.m. vs. Cedar Rapids The final fireworks show of the season will be presented by 95.9 KISS FM. The first 1,000 fans will receive a reuseable bag courtesy of Baycom.
