As part of its Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program, St. Norbert College in De Pere is offering a new course in conjunction with this spring’s Sport and Society conference hosted by St. Norbert and the Green Bay Packers. The course, “Sports and Society,” will be taught by Paul Bursik, associate professor of business administration at St. Norbert. The three-credit course is in the thematic area called American Perspective. This class will meet on April 20, May 4 and 18, and June 8. Also required is attendance at the Sport and Society conference May 26–28. Tuition will cover the cost of the conference. Space is limited and registration priority is given to students who are enrolled in the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program. For more information on the Sport and Society Conference go to www.snc.edu/sportandsociety. The primary audience for the master’s program is young professionals who are established in their careers but interested in pursing a graduate degree that develops both their analytical and communications skills, broadening their knowledge of the world and of themselves. To learn more about the new course and the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program, an open house will be held at St. Norbert’s alumni house on Third Street in De Pere Tuesday, April 6. For directions see campus map at www.snc.edu/map. For more information about the open house or to register, contact Howard Ebert, howard.ebert@snc.edu, or go to www.snc.edu/mls.
