Hearthstone Historic House Museum has announced the March series of lectures. The Hearthstone Histories lecture Wednesday, March 17, at noon features “Turn on the Lights” — electricity in 1882. Robin Rolfs will focus on the electrical system in Hearthstone, the light switches and the electroliers. Bag lunches are welcome. The “History Handiworks” presentation Sunday, March 21 at 1 p.m. focuses on jewelry — Heather Schallow will teach you to make a necklace, bracelet or earrings. Admission to the lectures is $2 and free for Hearthstone members. For the History Handiworks series, members pay only cost of supplies, all others pay admission plus $5 to $10 per project for supplies.
