Those of you who choose to watch Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s coronation — I mean, nomination acceptance speech — this evening will not hear these two facts:

  1. During the 1990s economic boom that allegedly was Bill Clinton’s credit, Republicans controlled both houses of Congress during the last six years of Clinton’s term in office.
  2. During this economic slowdown that allegedly is George W. Bush’s fault, Democrats have controlled both houses of Congress during the final two years of Bush’s term in office.

If form follows and Obama is elected with a Democratic-controlled Congress, then the economy will not take off until Obama and Democrats overreach and angry voters vote out Democrats from control of both houses of Congress in 2010, leaving Obama to deal with a Republican-controlled Congress for the last six years of his reign on earth.

Oh get real. You honestly think that this country was run into the ground in two years because of the democrats. Jobs being outsourced, fuel costs that have more than doubled, billions in tax dollars sent overseas, house values tanking, I could go on and on--all of this happened in the first six years of the Bush Administration; not in the last two years!
