The Green Bay branch of the American Association of University Women honored Jeanne Agneessens, program manager of Leadership Green Bay with the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, as one of the “Dreamers and Doers” Award nominees at its event March 13. Agneessens was among six area women nominated for the 4th Annual Dreamers and Doers Award that recognizes contemporary women in Brown County who have demonstrated achievement, sustained leadership and shared their unique talents to make our community a better place in which to live. Case IH, Service Motor Co., and Fox Valley Technical College forged a new 10-year, $1.5 million partnership to provide the college’s agriculture-related programs with the latest agricultural equipment and precision farming technologies. The new collaboration will give graduates of the college’s 60 plus-year history of agriculture training advanced skills to hit the job market ahead of the technology curve. The partnership is the first of its kind for a technical college in Wisconsin. The Benedictine Women of Madison’s Holy Wisdom Monastery has been named a 2009 Top Project by Wisconsin Builder magazine. The 34,000-square-foot monastery, designed and built by Hoffman LLC of Appleton, will be honored at the Top Projects awards dinner in Waukesha April 21. Holy Wisdom Monastery has been submitted to the US Green Building Council and is pursuing a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum certification and the highest LEED rating in the country. Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co., Neenah, contributed $5,000 through the Jewelers Mutual Charitable Giving fund to the American Red Cross–Outagamie Chapter to support their International Response Fund for Haiti Relief. In addition, Jewelers Mutual sponsored an employee and agent match program for donations made to the same organization. Through this match program, Jewelers Mutual collected a total of $5,430 in employee and agent donations. Secura Insurance, Appleton, has promoted three members of its leadership team to vice president positions. Shane Roh, Secura’s Regional Director–Sales, has been promoted to Regional Vice President–Sales. Roh’s accomplishments include the continued growth and success of the company’s Wisconsin market, which is the company’s single largest business unit. Jean Van Den Brandt was promoted from Director of Marketing to Vice President–Marketing and brings to her role more than 22 years of marketing and branding experience, including re-branding Secura. Glen Dye, Regional Director–Sales, has been promoted to Regional Vice President–Sales. Dye’s accomplishments include leading Secura’s presence in Arizona and Colorado. Holy Family Memorial has hired board certified internal medicine physician Robert Cornwell, M.D., for Woodland Clinic. He will also see patients on a limited basis at the Two Rivers Health Center. Dr. Cornwell received his medical degree from Indiana University Medical School, and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics. Dr. Cornwell has an interest in the prevention of heart disease, and the treatment of adult diabetes. He is also interested in treating patients with hypertension and leg swelling, and in evaluating infections. |
