NEW LOCATIONS F. Ziegler Enterprises in Fond du Lac will significantly expand its capacity to keep up with customer demand. Their growth necessitates moving its operations to a space triple the size of its current facilities and adding up to 35 employees over the next three years. NEW PRODUCTS/SERVICES DynaEdge, a division of Cleaning Systems, Inc., received patent approval for BriTecTM, a breakthrough technology in vehicle cleaning. Originally designed as a non-acid aluminum brightener, the formula is customer-proven to not only brighten but to break through tough road film and transportation-related soils. It safely brightens aluminum surfaces, removing oxidation on wheels, fuel tanks, tool boxes and other surfaces. Fox Communities Credit Union broke ground for its new location in Black Creek. The office will be located at 502 S. Main St. They will be moving from their current location on N4512 County A, Black Creek. It will be a full service branch with two drive-up lanes and a drive-up ATM. INTERNET ADDRESSES Stodola–Maas Construction, Inc., has launched its new Web site at www.stodolamaas.com. The Web site features information on the company, types of Construction Services offered and a gallery showcasing previous projects. SMC is a commercial contractor with four office locations throughout Wisconsin. Aurora Health Care unveiled a redesigned Web site that emphasizes convenience and easy access to information and services. The Aurora Web site — www.AuroraHealthCare.org — has developed a national reputation, receiving numerous awards for design and content. It has close to 800,000 visits each month. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS Construction has begun on a 105,338-square-foot addition to Jones Sign Co.’s plant in the Town of Lawrence. The addition will allow increased manufacturing of Jones’ flagship product, custom lighted signs, as well as the addition of grand format digital printing operations and in-house LED sign assembly. This marks the second addition to the building since the move from Hinkle Street in November 2004. The site is at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Scheuring Road. MERGERS/ACQUISITIONS Customers of Ford Pharmacy are likely to see some familiar faces when filling prescriptions at area Shopko locations. Many Ford staff members will be joining Shopko pharmacies, including Ford Pharmacy co-owners, Sue Luniak and Bill Smith. ALLIANCES Mike Milligan, owner of Legato Marketing & Communications, Inc., moved into The Advance Business Development Center, a business incubator at 2701 Larsen Road in Green Bay, Aug. 1. NEW NAMES Garnishes Restaurant in Manitowoc has changed its name to G’s Catering to refocus its efforts and better serve their core customers. According to owner Rudy Baumann, G’s will no longer serve dine-in customers in their restaurant but instead focus more on catering events. Expert Therapy is officially open at 2719 Calumet Ave. in Manitowoc. The rehabilitation clinic will remain at its current location and continue to offer care from therapists Sue DeZeeuw, John Johaneck, Adam Klarkowski, Ray Mack, Vickie Mullins and Tony Vogel. ACCREDITATIONS Bellin Health was recently awarded a three-year term of accreditation in computerized tomography following a survey by the American College of Radiology. CERTIFICATIONS Bellin Health was recently designated a UnitedHealth Premium Total Joint Replacement Center for quality of care provided. UnitedHealthcare developed the designation program to better offer its members information about, and access to, a listing of total joint replacement specialists. Bellin Health will maintain its Primary Stroke Center certification from The Joint Commission. AWARDS For the seventh consecutive year, ThedaCare has been named one of the 100 Most Wired health systems in the nation, according to an annual study in the July edition of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine, the journal of the American Hospital Association. The award honors the country’s most technologically advanced hospitals and health systems. Johnsonville Sausage’s Countryside Plant was named 2008 Plant of the Year by Food & Beverage Packaging magazine. Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center has been named among the nation’s 100 top hospitals. This marks the first time Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center has been named to the list. A billboard campaign for Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin won Gold, as did a multimedia campaign for G-Force, the in-stadium fan-participation body of the Green Bay Packers. For the sixth time since 1996, The Boldt Co., Appleton, is the winner of top honors among state construction companies for maintaining a safe working environment. Nearly $235,000 in grants has been awarded by St. Elizabeth Hospital Community Foundation to promote the programs and services offered at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Calumet Medical Center in Chilton, and Affinity Medical Group clinics in the Fox Cities. The Oshkosh Convention & Visitors Bureau has been granted $12,500 to market a special “Fall in Love with Oshkosh on the Water” promotion in the months of September and October. The one-time grant became available in the aftermath of the June floods that devastated several areas in Wisconsin, including Oshkosh. Winnebago County was one of those designated as a federal disaster area. The Central House of Chilton has re-opened under new ownership. Located at 321 E. The Mielke Family Foundation awarded a $4,680 grant to Harmony Café to fund PROactive CONversation. Bill Doering and Eugene Fassbender have sold a 21,247 square foot building on 1.4 acres of land located at 205 Milwaukee St. in Menasha to James Putman. Patrick Connor of NAI MLG Commercial represented both parties in the transaction. Putman plans to utilize the building for collector cars and related retail projects. In 2007, Thrivent Financial members in the Fox Cities performed 680 community activities while volunteering 150,000 hours to raise and donate $1.4 million, including funds from Thrivent Financial. In addition, the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation provided 101 grants totaling more than $1.5 million to charitable organizations in the Fox Cities during 2007. The Foundation recently demonstrated its support for several innovative programs in the Appleton Area School District by awarding $68,000 for three AASD projects that support early childhood development and financial literacy. Through a variety of fundraising efforts over the past year, the Fox Cities Chapter of Credit Unions has contributed $32,000 to Children’s Miracle Network. 2008 marks the 35th anniversary of the staffing firm Flex-Staff. Founded in 1973 as a franchise of a permanent placement company, Flex-Staff has since grown to become one of the leading independently owned staffing services in Wisconsin. The TREG Foundation, a not for profit organization founded by Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group, Inc., raised a record $25,000 during its suixth annual charity golf outing, held on May 20 at Mid Vallee Golf Course. The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation Board is expected to approve grants totaling up to $616,500 over the next three years for seven projects. These grants are part of the Basic Needs Giving Partnership program established in 2007 to address the root causes of poverty in the region. The Shopko Foundation will make a $5,000 donation to The Post~Crescent’s Do It! Community Campaign for the Community Emergency Prescription Drug Fund. Mid-Day Business and Professional Women received three awards at the annual BPW Wisconsin statewide convention in Brookfield in May.
